Legal Awareness Drive of TMU organized in GDTS Vidya Mandir
Provides the information regarding POCSO and Cyber Crime and is also told how we can protect ourselves from these kinds of Crimes
Muradabad (Sourabh Battar). A Legal Awareness Drive was organized by the Free Legal Aid Cell of the College of Law and Legal Studies, Teerthanker Mahaveer University. Before the program, Dean Prof. Harbansh Dixit gave positive input on the importance of Free Legal Aid and its benefits to the weaker sections of society. Principal Prof. Sushil Kumar Singh provides the information regarding POCSO and Cyber Crime and also tells how we can protect ourselves from these kinds of crimes. Both the authorities gave their blessings to students.

The students of the Vth, VIIth and IXth semesters participated in this program. They reached Ghanshyam Das Tandon Saraswati Vidya Mandir, Kailasa. There were around 300 students who were present at the scheduled event place along with 20 teachers. The event was divided into two sessions one for the students of primary school i.e., from class 1-6 and the other for the secondary school students i.e., from class VI-XII. The session started with the welcome speech of Dr.Archana Sharma, Principal of Ghanshyam Das Tandon Saraswati Vidya Mandir, Kailasa. The legal Aid Team provided all-around information regarding POCSO Act by the means of speeches for around half an hour. This was followed by a Q&A session in which the students participated with zeal and enthusiasm.
In the second session, the Legal Aid Team guided the students from class VI-XII including teachers of the school, staff members, and guards regarding the relevancy and awareness of the Cyber related Crimes and their legal mechanism through cyber laws enforced in India. The audience was briefed through the means of a Workshop which lasted for around half an hour. After the program, there was a meeting session with the teachers and the principal.
